Our new year started off with a bang :) Mike found out in early January (before he went back to work from a long Christmas vacation) that he had torn his acl playing flag football this past fall. Most people can make it through life without needing to replace the ligament, but not in Mikey's line of work. He had already fallen trying to chase a suspect, so the surgery was a must. Everything went well, though it has been a rather frustrating few weeks. He had allergic reactions to every medication he was on including his pain meds. He's had random fevers, hives and achiness ever since, and we have no idea why!
He is back to work, but on light duty. Which means sitting behind a desk M-F 9-5. It's funny that I used to want this schedule for us so badly, that I thought it would be the best thing. Well, we both hate it. Lol. We will be thankful to get back to our normal, though that won't be for 6 long months!
